FAQS
Northwich Uke Club is a friendly and informal Ukulele club based in the heart of Northwich, Cheshire. Formed in September 2021, the group has gone from strength to strength ever since and now have over 30 regular members.
The club offers a unique take on the Ukulele, think less George Formby and more The Killers, David Bowie, Blondie, R.E.M and The Foo Fighters!
We host a weekly 'Uke Jam' event every Thursday from 7pm at The Grape & Bean in the Northwich. The evening will end no later than 10pm, although you are free to come and go as you like. We hope to see you there!
Our Uke Jam is a weekly get together where players of all abilities come to have fun, meet new friends and of course play music!
Each week we play through a pre-determined song list together taken from our songbook which now features over 250 songs from a wide variety of genres.
We take regular breaks throughout the evening so that you can use the bathroom, get a drink and socialise.
The weekly Uke Jam is completely free to attend, however we do ask that you support the bar by purchasing drinks if possible as they very kindly do not charge us a fee to use the venue.
The latest version of our weekly Uke Jam songbook is now available to download and contains over 250 well known songs from across the decades! From Rock to Pop and even Country, there really is something for everyone!
Yep! We love it when people pick up a Uke for the first time and discover just how fun it is! We will welcome players of all abilities. Just come along and have a go, everyone is friendly and will help you get started.
Absolutely! Everyone is welcome, even if you would just like to have a drink and sing-along. We do also have a limited number of spare Ukues which are available on a first come, first served basis. It is advised to bring your own if you decide to attend regularly.
Unfortunately not, sorry. Only Ukes will be allowed to play (as well as the occasional Kazoo!) - it is a Uke club after all! :)
We do occasionally take photos or record parts of our Uke Jam. This is solely for the purpose of promoting the club on social media / our website and will not be shared with any third parties.
You can also let us know if you do not wish your image to be used and we will make sure your wishes are respected.
Unfortunately, we do not offer lessons at the moment.
The venue / club does not impose a strict 'age limit' to attend, however we do ask that any child is accompanied by an adult and is mature and well behaved.
It is also worth bearing in mind that our Uke Jam does go on until 10pm and takes place in a bar, which serves alcohol, and is open to the general public.
All upcoming events will be published on the Events page or follow us on social media.
