Yes! It's Happening!
Over the weekend of 26th / 27th September, Northwich Uke Club will be attempting the unthinkable when we try to set a new world record for the longest Ukulele Jam by playing continuously for 36 hours! The record is currently held by Southampton Uke Jam and stands at a whopping 30 hours!
It all begins on Saturday 26th from 8am at the fantastic Barons Quay, who we are proudly partnering with for the attempt, and will finish at 8pm on Sunday 27th (at which point we will be taking a very long and deserved rest!)
It's going to take everything our dedicated team of Uke players have got to pull this off but we are absolutely confident that we can do it!
All For A Good Cause!
The event will be raising money for Buddy & Befriending in Cheshire, a fantastic local charity which support adults across Cheshire who are experiencing loneliness or social isolation.
It would mean the world to us and the charity if you would consider sponsoring our record attempt as we aim to raise over £1,000.
How can you get involved?
Obviously we'd love your donations, but the support of the Northwich community will be absolutely crucial to keep our spirits high when we need it the most! Please do head down to Barons Quay over the weekend of the attempt to say hello, watch us and even join in with singing along if you feel like it!
